Materials Used:

10 count White Plastic Canvas Mesh


DMC #3 Perle Coton:

#745 Light Pale Yellow - 4 yds.
#001 White (optional) - 4 yds.
#920 Medium Copper - 1/2 yd.
#349 Dark Coral - 1/2 yd.
#3347 Medium Yellow Green - 1/2 yd.


To Finish Project:

#801 Dark Coffee Brown DMC Thread (3 strands) - 1 yd.
2 Buttons (green & red)
Red & Gold Ribbon - 12 inches
Twine (or #920 Medium Copper) - 8"




Stitches Used:

Continental Stitch
Cross Stitch
Embroidery Straight Stitch
Overcast




Instructions:

Cut 1 piece of 29X48 threads (28X47 holes) in 10 count plastic canvas. Stitch the project according the pattern. If you want your snowman to be white instead of antique colored (hubby thinks it looks like a potato when done in #745 Light Pale Yellow - okay so he doesn't know country crafting), then use #001 White. Stitch the "outline" using #801 DMC Thread, as indicated on the pattern, using an embroidery straight stitch. Once stitching is complete, add the buttons, placing them over the stitched button areas. Wrap the ribbon around the snowman's neck and tie, let hang down, trim to the length you desire. Thread twine (or you can use #920 medium copper) into the back and thread through again, so you have a loop for hanging.
